Crab Flats Campground - Green Valley
This primitive campground is an off roaders paradise, with trails nearby for both the beginner and the experienced rider. This facility is located 8 miles from Green Valley Lake in the San Bernardino National Forest, near the town of Lake Arrowhead. Accessed by a dirt road, there is a 12 foot wide and 2 foot creek crossing at Deep Creek. The campground is situated in tall pine, oak and cedar trees. With five sites available, there is no overflow parking and no large RVs. This campground is for Green Sticker, off-road vehicle oriented camping. Campground host is on site. The closest towns are Lake Arrowhead and Running Springs. Green Valley Lake is approximately six miles away. Campsites are free during the winter.
For the camper who wishes to wander the backcountry. Crab Flats Campground will provide an excellent base camp. Miles of Forest Service roads and trails are easily accessible from this campground, situated among scattered pines and oaks. It is also a "staging area" for OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) enthusiasts. Since this campground is used by people with motorcycles or ATV's, it can get quite dusty and noisy. Located 4 miles north of Green Valley Road, on Forest Service Road 3N34, accessed from 3N16. These roads are not recommended for sedans and trailer campers.
Take Freeway to 330 North. Go through Running Springs and Arrowbear, CA, to Green Valley Road. Turn left, go approximately 4 miles to Crab Flats Campground sign at Forestry dirt road. Turn left and go 4-1/2 miles to the campground.

The Crab Creek/Fisherman's Camp trail (2W07) begins 1.3 miles west of Crab flats Campground on Forest road 3N34.
Alerts and Important Information:
Stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel are still allowed. Check with the local Ranger Station for current fire restrictions
3 night minimum for holiday weekends.
Maximum 2 vehicles per site, depending on spur length (no other extra vehicles allowed).
A fee for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
Due to washouts (potholes) access road to the campground is very narrow and may not accept large RV'S.
Camping fee includes entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle.
Quiet hours 10pm to 6am.
This campground is a staging area for ATV/OHV'S.
Gas, jellied petroleum and pressurized liquid fuel stoves are allowed in campground.
Driving Alert - you will be going through a 12 foot wide and 2 feet deep stream to get to the campground.
Trailers, 5th Wheels and Motorhomes over 28 feet not recommended.
