Lake Arrowhead features all the winter recreational activities expected of a resort town - Snow skiing, sledding, cross country skiing, snow boarding, snow mobiling, ice skating, and fishing to name a few.

Snow Skiing and Boarding - Multiple ski/snow boarding resorts are located close to Lake Arrowhead. Snow Valley is approx 20 minutes away, and Big Bear's two resorts - Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, are approximately 45 minutes from Lake Arrowhead. The Arrowhead Queen Lake Tour - The tour on the Lake Arrowhead Queen Paddleboat is a must if you ever are visiting the area, and tours are held year round. Tickets are available at LeRoy's Sports on the waterfront at the village. The tour lasts about an hour and takes you around the perimeter of the lake. The cruise offers spectacular views of the beautiful lake, and the wonderful homes surrounding it. The tour guide is humorous, and sometimes hilarious! He points out all the neat features of the homes that surround the lake, many of which are owned by famous celebrities, inserting jokes here and there, and has everyone on the boat in stitches. This is definitely a fun activity that the whole family will enjoy.
Private - Lake Arrowhead is a private lake. Therefore, it's use is restricted to homeowners in a tract of land roughly 1 mile around the perimeter of the lake, known as "Arrowhead Woods". However, many lake-related activities are available to the general public. Visitors to the area can access Lake Arrowhead by boat on the Arrowhead Queen Boat Tour, by water ski through the McKenzie Water Ski School, or on foot by strolling at Lake Arrowhead Village.
